The Project Engineering Manager (PEM) is a position that will have total responsibility for the Engineering deliverables and Technical Compliance in an EPC Project. A high degree of importance is placed on the aspects of Management and co-ordination of engineering activities necessary to complete a Subsea EPC Project. It will require an excellent knowledge of change management, interface control and the process's to drive excellence within the engineering function. A high degree of contractual awareness is required.

For this position we are looking for someone with 10-15 years' experience in subsea, of which at least 3-4 have been in technical management. You could have previously held the position of Systems Engineering Manager or similar, or in one of the related disciplines for subsea, such as Controls, and is looking for a career change to Systems Engineering.

A degree of travel, both locally and internationally will be required.

The main responsibilities include:
* Developing the overall Engineering schedule
* Overall responsible for the execution and delivery of the Engineering scope from all CoE's according to the Engineering plan and budget
* Ensuring all engineering procedures are in place in the Project and rolled out
* Defining Project specific procedures to meet contractual requirements
* Ensuring that all Technical Assurance activities are defined and planned for as per Contract
* Develop and manage the overall material requirements

Main Duties
-Repairs, calibrates and maintains platform instrumentation systems
-Monitors platform master charts to establish possible instrument malfunctions
-Conducts and reviews the results of tests run in control room and ensure their reliability and accuracy
-Review/maintains accurate and current records of meter co-efficient
-Conducts special tests on platform instrumentation as required
-Ensures the installation, calibration and testing of platform instrumentation is conducted in accordance with Company requirements and statutory Government standards.
-Ensures the required supply of spare parts are available, prepares and requisitions items required.
-Maintains and updates records and reports
-Maintains good housekeeping conditions in workshop and work sites
-Check out work covered by commissioning/acceptance documentation to ensure systems are as outlined/operational and signs documentation to this effect
-Put forward suggestions and develop modification requests as necessary to improve plant/equipment efficiency/safety operations
-Cover F&G Maintenance
-Demonstrate competence at a fundamental level through training and experience and pursue completion of Project-specific training and competency requirements in liaison with onshore and offshore support specialists
-Observes Company safety rules and regulations, including permit to work and complies with same

-Authorised person to effect the isolation of electrical equipment, specifically HV where authorised.
-Installs, troubleshoots, maintains and services electrical distributing systems, motors, generators, rheostats, control panels, switchgear, voltage regulators, rectifiers, electronic equipment, transformers, meters and automation equipment and controls in liaison with other departments to ensure continuity of safe operations.
-Keeps an adequate supply of electrical supplies and spare parts and prepares requisitions for items as needed.

-Witness cable tests, test runs of vendor/specialist repaired equipment/plant and sign documentation to verify acceptance.

-Ensure &as built& drawings are updated and on passed to draughting via Supervisor/Discipline Engineers.
